PEACE CRANE (3.11.2011)
My work is a metaphor for myself. Using abstract forms with fragile elements, I speak my emotions and capture the moments of my experience in a visual space. This is a “star book” origami structure and uniquely sewn with cord in a custom box. The text (a haiku) is hot stamped in silver and black foil with hand-set type:
PEACE CRANE (3.11.2011)
Silver wave crashed
Swept into darkness
May peace cranes
Fly over the horizon
Bring sunrise to silence
